It's 28 years since they added the 1 to the 021 area code. So I guess you might be disappointed!Be quick everyone.

Absolutely very early 80's I was in my Alfetta and my twin brother in his HF Fulvia and our mates were in Fords with 4 speed boxes ohv on the crossflow or sohc with a pinto motor both having rear drum brakes oh the fun we had around the Gloucestershire lanesWe often forget how advanced Italian cars have been in terms of technology. Alfa & Lancia were running twin cam engines, 5 speed gearboxes, discs all round in relatively cheap mid range models years before other European manufacturers and not only in high performance coupes Alfa Giulia saloons of the mid 60s had them all
That’d have been FUBAR after 3 years of autocross! He was runner up in the 76 BTRDA championship to a guy I used to work for.Be quick everyone.

Even today a properly sorted Giulietta can show a clean pair of heels to a lot of modern hot hatches due to it's lightweight and a superb handling as some of the young guns around here are finding out as they try to chase mine down some of the twisty bitsI remember our first 116 Giulietta. All round discs? 5 speed box? Unheard of!

I think he uses it as his daily driver in the summer monthsUsed to love ours. Just couldn't justify keeping it
I think Alex still has it. Not keen on his interior taste, but there we are....
I see it still has a valid MOT doing 6-7k per year so good on him

130 BHP was only the very early S1 1600HF which were primarily for homologation. Most of the later 1.6 HF Stradales were only 115 BHP with the 1.3S versions being round 93 BHP still impressive for the day
