Given the number of reports about 'valet parking' I'm surprised anyone uses these Co's anymore. This is worth a watch if you ever use valet parking at the airport - even with this footage so hade ti track the owner of the firm down at home to get him to make good the damage.
Without the dashcam I had no chance.
Yes things have moved on now, but we all live and learnThe ones we've used at Gatwick don't even go off site (AFAIK) but could be wrong. We book on the Gatwick airport official site.
That sucks, though!

Always get a taxi/lift or park the car myself on site. Seen so many dodgy things with these.Given the number of reports about 'valet parking' I'm surprised anyone uses these Co's anymore.
Dash cams, a little of all of the above.I'm pretty sure we've covered this topic before, but I couldn't find the thread(s). What are the forum's views on dash-cams? Useful, pita. self-incriminating, sent by God to make the world a better place? Or something else?
My car is having some other stuff done and the fitter suggested I think about whether a dash-cam would be a good idea.

That's the one I am looking at, seems to have every base covered but upper end of price bracketMany thanks to everyone for sharing experiences. A pair of Blackvue 770 thingies will be fitted next week.
Not cheap... but the 4K LTE version, which lets you view the footage remotely via mobile, was even more. I also added the battery so that it can keep an eye out for parking cock-ups and scrotes without draining the car battery. My thinking was that 4K is a bit pointless and remote viewing is of marginal use, but scröte-cam and not draining the car battery is certainly helpful. That's the one I am looking at, seems to have every base covered but upper end of price bracket
And you didn't need 4k, is my assumption.Checked mine the other day. Was pleasantly surprised to see it's
a) Working
b) Perfectly usable quality
So 'hooray'

The ones I've got don't have a screen - I voted for size instead. But if anything exciting happens I can watch it via some **** app on my phone. So 4K still won't be much use.Nope. I mean, you would want to watch it on the big screen, but plates of cars in front of me were perfectly legible, even on the crappy screen on the unit. I suspect you'll be (more than) fine

Thankfully 8th ave not had to view any footage of my cams for sometime, and despite the ability to connect via an app I have always found it easier to pop the memory are out and view on the PC.The ones I've got don't have a screen - I voted for size instead.
