As I have the handbook to hand, page 118 says -
"WARNING: Since the car is catalysed, under no circumstances should it be started by pushing, towing or on downward slopes. These actions cause fuel to flow into the catalytic converter and damage it beyond repair."

Fairly self explanatory.

Also on the same page:-

WARNING: Do not use a battery-charger for emergency starting under any circumstances. This could damage the electronic systems, particularly the control units performing the ignition and fuel supply functions.

He should politely tell the 500's to **** off. 3 Fiat 500's vs 30 Maserati's.
I know what would look better outside of Ace.

Ah well the Fiat lot do spend money at the Ace, where as the Maser lot are notoriously tight.

Do you know, I heard one wouldn't even spend a few quid on a new set of number plates and an MOT to be able to bring his new car down to prove to the non believers that it even exists?! I mean, I pity the poor bugger when he needs to get a new clutch, actuator, and a new set of brakes and tyres when it needs a service :as004:

reminds me of my first car. a 1980 Ford Fiesta.

I used to carry a 3 foot lump of wood and a club hammer in the boot for when the starter got stuck.
The amount of times I had to explain that to the police!

Depends whether there was any need to spend the money. If there wasn't what's the point?
Good job he bought a car with a new clutch, new discs and pads and new tyres then wasn't it? ;)

Which leaves actuator, oil/water pump, wishbones, F1 pump etc all waiting to force that wallet open

Oh and with that mileage stratospheric depreciation ;)

Nothing to worry about then.
I can put the money saved on not buying things when they weren't needed into a piggy bank for when they are.
I bought the car to drive, not look at so I'm not too concerned about depreciation anyway.

Thought that trick was reserved for British Leyland cars!
Might try and make Ace as well on Thursday and I won't be spending any money either, even the tea tastes foul.

Bloody pongos; some of the worst tea I've ever drunk was courtesy of the cr4p hats! They must be getting soft or have started to get tested on their brew making. Tchh, H&S strikes again! ;)

Re space. Note me (8) will sadly be heading in the opposite direction to you all due to work commitments.
