I do enjoy this show, what they do and why they do it, the Espada episode was enjoyable too, but im thinking it's a classic Lambo and was it done as well as it deserved to be? Still like watching tho
Me too, I do like these things but I don’t really ‘get’ them, feel like there’s always stuff they can’t be telling us, or they’re just lying about something. The Espada - a very difficult car to restore quickly, and properly. It’s common knowledge the doors on them are a nightmare, apparently the car was almost built around them, and they’re not really designed to be taken off and on. And the one in the show had doors that did not fit.... I could imagine somewhere taking many weeks over the doors alone. Then there’s parts... You’ll always get exhausts and brake discs, but things like hidden bits of plastic, mouldings inside doors, interiors, mountings for lights, hidden stuff that’s 50 years old and breaks when you take it off....
Just can’t see how you could do an Espada in that timescale and do it right...
it was the same with wheeler dealers, they had a urraco on once, listed all the things they’d done to it, came to about 5 quid as usual, but it was a virtual barn find when they got it, showed it at the end with a mint interior, but no mention of any interior work....
I’d love to see that espada up close, see what they really managed
