Agree with that, and regarding the majority it's borderline ignorance to dismiss.I compare (rightly or wrongly) the coupe vs the v8 vantage and a decent Vantage is early 30's. The mazza is beyond cheap in comparison.
I think people are simply scared of the trident and youtube reviews of the car are hardly glowing. With the correct suspension setup they drive brilliantly imho.
Tried both back to back as my friends had one. Truly felt the extra £40k they spent for a car the same age (mine was £22k) could not be felt. How does a 4.2 V8 Vantage actually compare with a GS to drive? Maybe people dig the manual more? 25-30k gets you one still? I’ve not driven one…. Can’t imagine the GS coming off badly apart from perhaps the gearbox?
Probably not as rare as the manuals. This one caught my eye a couple weeks back (before I joined here). Now relisted.
Previously went unsold with a starting bid of £7k.
A rare beast I believe in the Auto.

Hmmmmm... Mine were similar which then led to the underside brake pipes etc. ok if you can do a lot yourself.MOT history not too bad but last few shows it's needed corroded coil springs needing replacing for awhile so there's the first bill.
Totally agree even changing the springs on a 24 year old Italian could turn into a right old job.Hmmmmm... Mine were similar which then led to the underside brake pipes etc. ok if you can do a lot yourself.
How big a job were the springs?Hmmmmm... Mine were similar which then led to the underside brake pipes etc. ok if you can do a lot yourself.
It will be okay if it passes a PPI and you've got £10,000 in the war chest.Speaking of 3200s, this silver manual one caught my eye but per the auto above it's not been serviced since 2020. Also seems a tad expensive. Thoughts?

Normal sticky buttons, driver bolster wear and bubbling under the seat light all pretty standard stuff, currently £10500 reserve metA low mileage manual Coupe ending soon on C&C (currently £9k) https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/2005-maserati-4200-gt-manual-8b6JJ8
Ride quality is slightly better, more rubber. Handling is worse as it’s higher and you get more body roll.Facelift too, as close as you can get to a manual GS from the factory, and probably handles better too due to the smaller / lighter wheels*
*I have no evidence to back this up, but it seems logical
That corrosion on the rear lights would put me off. The low mileage thing is ok if it’s been pampered for the 20 years since it was built but it becomes a moot point if it’s had a life open to the elements.A low mileage manual Coupe ending soon on C&C (currently £9k) https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/2005-maserati-4200-gt-manual-8b6JJ8
