Nice one, CJ I'm nearly ready, although circumstances beyond my control may contrive to rob me of something I've been looking forward to for a long time... Just need to see if I can fix the Start/Stop functionality; which seems to be playing up

Interesting- thanks for that; perhaps if that's the same event; maybe it's not such a good idea after all! It was 'Stewart'-Stewart, from Kingussie (apologies Stewart-from-Tain!) I thought I'd seen pictures of Integrales and suchlike- it looked like it was in my interest-zone...

well put, Chris- maybe we should try for another afternoon meetup, like a couple of years ago...? Or how about that event up near Stewart; in Granton on Spey..? Can't remember what it was now cough -Stewart..?

great footage David- by the time I was on-board with the camera; the Levante had pulled away; interesting to see one in attendance in fact; not sure I've seen one at any kind of meetup before (in Scotland); was it anyone from on here? Well put Allan- it was indeed lovely to speak to yourself &...

well, in the absence of wider-feedback; perhaps I'll be the only car with a Trident on at Hopetoun?! I'm sure that's not true in reality. After a sustained period of 13 hour days at work, I got a complete day-off yesterday to try and give the Cup a good cleanup. And it was a peach of a...

right- are you happy to do that yourself then- is the starter motor within easy reach on the 348?

the road to, er, Hopetoun House...

oddly enough the Cup has started to hint at such a problem recently; so when I pulled up just the other day (after the 1st run out in it); I lifted the bonnet after stopping and let things cycle-over with the radiator fans on for a couple of minutes. (but I often do that anyway) and it was...

well, the Cup rolls again- MOT passed! so, theoretically; I'm already on-the-way to Hopetoun House... Any movement on the hot-start issue, Allan...?

the road to, er, Hopetoun House...

ok- well here's the story then; once upon a time, during one of the first service-outings for the Cup, when it was getting the inherited niggles sorted- it was established that the A/C control panel wasn't acting upon the mixer-valve for cabin ventilation heat. Various things were tried and in...

the road to, er, Hopetoun House...

I told you the story about the crazy chip (PROM) that I had in the a/c controller in the Cup once, didn't I..? Most a/c systems are supposed to bring in the radiator fans when the compressor is running to get more charge in the condenser. But it shouldn't be doing that all the time. On my setup...

good crikey- that's bizarre; although not entirely bonkers- is that with the electrics-on Stewart..?? (obviously??)

Hey Allan, it might be worth wiring a radiator fan override-switch to give things a really good cool-down before turning off. I've got one in the Cup; it utilises a spare relay position under the bonnet. Have you got any blank switch positions in the cabin..?

Do you need a relay-base, Stewart? I've got some spare FIAT / Lancia ones knocking about on my desk here... Is that on the 348, Allan..?
