Not driven and exposed to the elements for a couple of years! They are expensive enough to maintain when they're loved and cherished... Definitely walk away. A shed load of trouble and a bank account full of expenses. I seriously looked at one of these instead of the 3200. I'm glad I had good sense.

What would be a cheeky offer though? Would make a good Gumball car, a couple of mad rallies and oops it met with a sticky end! or part it out, nice straight body shell complete, £10k, engine £5k, gearbox £2k, interior £2k probably £5-6k in other bits... Not a nice end for one of these but it aint pretty at the moment!

I know someone who bought a pretty good one (manual too and nice colour) for about £22k so I'd price this nearer £15k at the most, a proper respray will be a chunk of change alone, and I don't fancy his DIY service approach.

These will become the next 400i, sure as eggs!

DO you think so.....The 400 ws not a pretty car where as these are..Surely they will become a classic......Or the good ones will..

I think (like the 400) there are just too many of them around still, and they are well and truly in to the twilight zone of being too old for the fashionable Ferrari set and still too modern for the classic fans. 400's have been dissolving busily for years and good ones are now beginning to firm up pricewise.

I'm a fan of of that 70's period of Pininfarina design - Fiat 130 Coupe etc etc and would love a good 400i in dark blue, but good ones are now 4200 money and that's a much better proposition on nearly every count.

Like you say - the good ones will be sought after by those who only want a 456, and hopefully there will be lots of sheds around for the impoverished likes of me!!!
