Guys, I have a request; Oulton Park, 6th April (Easter Monday) there is a round of the BTCC and a chap called David Morris is putting together a display of Italian cars. It's free entry, and we get to do a couple of 'parade' laps before the afternoon race. At the moment he has got 45 Ferraris, 3 Lambos, 1 De Tomaso and me! He's asked me if I can get any more of you reprobates interested in coming along as he wants more Masers involved. If you are interested please pm me and I will send you his e-mail address. Thanks.

The BTCC calendar is showing the rounds at Oulton as being 6&7 June. Have you got your months mixed up or is there another event going on that day?

It's the first round of the British Gt Championship. Went to both btcc and bgt last year and the gt's were better.

Sorry guys, it looks like I was given duff gen regarding the event. However, the chance of a couple of noisy laps is usually too much for me to resist. Best to avoid being right behind the pace car, that way you can lag back then give it the beans. ;)

Yeah i saw the parade at last years event and the cars directly behind the pace car had little space for any real blasts, the ones that stayed further back had a little more fun!

As regards the event itself i was pleasantly surprised how good the GT cars were to watch. The pace of the racing is not as frantic as the BTCC but the cars are more interesting to watch and sound better too. Also there are less people there, the BTCC is always crammed.

Good stuff! I'm looking forward to it. I think I might know the guy with the 458. If it's him, he chopped in a 430 Scud to get it and, believe it or not, he used to drive it like he stole it. Kudos!

Stay clear of the yellow Strad as Blondie is a bad influence. Oh and don't follow her, even out of curiosity. I did, once! ;)

As Merrian says, 4 of us will be going as part of the SCD outing - Blondie, Yeti, Hexadex, and myself.
I'm there as part of the SCD Club. 3 other Maseratis too.

Ian, are you going as a member of the Italian car display? Does this mean that the SCD Italian marques could get to go on the track twice (once with SCD and again as part of the Italian car parade laps)?
