Ferrari 348 TB Berlinetta ...ex cat D...good value??

Interesting thread.

I've driven 360's and a 430 spider and I would never swap my 348 for one. Whilst the 360/430 are very nice cars, they lack a hard edge to them which the 348 has and which for me is what a Ferrari should have.

The 348 is not for everyone and it's not an easy car to drive on the limit.

Most negative comments are from people who don't have any experience of them or had them for a day as one poster above has said. They need to be tweaked and set up properly and once sorted are a great drive.

As for looks, it's all subjective, but I love the look of mine and prefer it to a 355. But as I said, it's subjective and personal taste.

Anyway, it's still better looking than any Maserati produced in the last 20 years.

I like it....one of Ferraris better looking efforts....

You have to read the other thread on Pistonheads to get the full story.

I invited various Marques and forums to the Hedingham Castle Meet last year. Out of all the threads I posted on various forums, the only ones to moan about paying the £7 entry fee were the Aston Martin lot. Not only did they moan about having to pay, but they started to take the pee out of me as well.

So I just got my own back and had a good laugh at the same time.

Angelis you can probably now understand why my love affair with 308 GT4 came to an abrubt end. I feel that the true modern Ferrari with everyday motoring in mind didn't really begin until the birth of the 355. That does not mean I think the 348 is rubbish but I do feel that it still comes in that category of old school Ferrari although I am sure it is a thousand times more reliable than a 308GT4
