Thanks for the introduction to the site [shameless plug by Nick] haha :)

Welcome Michaeal, tell us about yourself?

I had to look at your post for some inspiration Conaero :)

Well where to start, I'm 27 and have been very much into cars / Alfas since I was a young lad. Back around the time I was born my dad had a red Alfasud 1.5 Ti- he left the Alfa scene in '86 to get a Toyota Corolla which he had until 1991, then he got another Toyota Carina, then an Avensis (yawn). What is he driving today you might wonder? A 2010 159 Ti :)

During the time of my father's absence from Alfa ownership and at a time of when I was too young to drive, my older sister acquired a 1998 156 Sportivo 2.0 TS, in Red. It was amazing and really got my interest in Alfas going. I said to myself around that time that I would own an Alfa at some point in my life! I spotted the GT on Irish roads first in 2004 and remember saying to my sister how beautiful it looked. That was what I planned to get. I got my driving license in 2006 and started out in a 2002 Opel Corsa GSI, presented in a lovely boy racer blue. All 72 brake horse power down to the tarmac through a 1.2 litre 4 cylinder beast :saifi3: I had this car right up until 2011, but had began looking for a GT since mid 2010. It took a long time for me to find one but I did in the end: a 2007 GT Monza (Blackline) 1.8TS, and long story short that's how I ended up writing here.

Earlier this year I also owned a 2004 Nissan 350z, which I used in a few track sessions in Mondello Park. It was completely standard. I didn't plan on keeping it too long and sold it in August just gone. So far I have manage to double horsepower with every car I've owned Corsa - 72 horse - GT - 140 horses - 350z 280 horse. I haven't planned what my next car will be yet
