Hi,
So I picked up my 2015 GT Sport yesterday. 8500K. Feels like new. Such an awesome car. However. Have a few questions and observations. Not sure if it's the quirky design or just me?

1. The Sat Nav does accept post codes. Coordinates (longitude & Lat - YES) but who gives a toss about that. Postcodes in the UK is what is needed. Is this a setting? I haver tried but failed to find it.

2. Front parking sensors - they seem to go off like an Italian..! They bleep at times with nothing in front of you. Also they seem to switch off by themselves sometimes - are these behaviours just the way it is or need checking? Makes me uncomfortable right now to trust them.

3. The buttons (sport, ICE, traction off). The traction off button doesn't seem to do anything? Does it need to be pushed when in some kind of driving mode to do something?

4. These buttons - also when you press one of them THEY ALL MOVE - Italian quality for you I expect?

5. Memory seat setting in the passenger - It doesn't! Odd that drive does but passenger doesn't? Annoying that seat doesn't automatically move forward and back when seat is pulled forward for rear access. The seat has no memory button (1,2,3)..

Love the car, but quirks so far...

Any advise most appreciated folks.

1) Limited postcode entry only. Not sure as I really don't get postcode sat nav so have never used it. But I do know from the complaints that full postcode entry is not a feature
2) I suspect the way it is but I don't have them, so best wait for someone that does
3) Traction off won't be noticeable until you try to exceed the limits of the car's grip. Then you will notice, and you'll need to notice quite quickly or you'll notice quite a lot of other things. Unless you mean 'There's no warning light'?
4) Hmm, not sure about that. Mine have certainly never moved enough for me to notice.
5) No passenger seat memory. The reset to make it go forwards on tilt is in the manual and been posted on here many *many* times:
Open door
Forward
Back
Forward
Back
Tilt

If you do it right (and fast enough) the seat will go all the way forward and back *twice*, then return to the original position. You only need to make the seat move a fraction on the forward and back steps. Not all the way. Needs to be done in about 10 seconds or so then just let the seat do its thing. That should fix it. Until it forgets again.

Have fun :)

3) Traction off - You have to hold the button down for a few seconds until it says that its off on the info screen. It's not just a dab on like the others

The seat resetting isn't as easy as it sounds. Mine hasn't reset. It could be me but the passenger seat isn't reseting itself so the auto forward & return isn't working yet when the seat is latched to allow access. No biggy as I have it in for service in a few weeks and I doubt the back seats will get much use.

There's a knack to the reset, but it;s really not that hard. Unless, of course, your ECU is fried, in which case you're on a hiding to nothing anyway :(

Hi Ash did you buy the GT from Northern Ireland ?

Looks great btw

I did. You must have seen it for sale. I did planes, trains and automobiles (oh and a Ferry too) to get her. The wheels are going in for re-furb tomorrow. There were OJK TBH, but a few minor nicks so in she goes for the TLC treatment. Car is drop dead stunning... Got a great deal consider dealer prices.

Stunning car- what did you get it for in the end?
I think you did the right thing for sure and you won't regret it

Honestly - ? Feel cheeky saying really... 2015, 1 owner, 8000 miles, Stradale Wheels, £104K dealer invoice to show. New rear tyres 1 week old... So? £62K paid. Spoke to the Dealer in NI. Charles Hurst. Checked everything out with it's history..... Guy was keen to sell for honest reasons. Think I got a marvellous deal... Hope so. So far it's sex on wheels.. Talk about head turner. The quirks are sort of annoying, but almost characterful..

2. No they shouldn't be like that. Mine are absolutely fine. You can set them so they only work when you are parking.

4. No all the buttons should not move at the same time!!

5. Only driver has memory.

Looks stunning. Enjoy!

The quirks are characteristics of a Beautiful Maserati.
You can have the most Beautiful woman but she won't be perfect for sure and play up more than an Italian Supercar.
Definitely won't age so well probably had more drivers than keepers.
Love the color combination.
