I've been very lucky and been given a paddock pass so should be able to have a run up the hill.
Car clubs / forums can apply for special display passes so they can be grouped together - is that something that Sports Alfa / Sports Maserati might be interested in by way of a get together?

Just had this email from the organisers:

COUNTDOWN JUST 2 WEEKS TO GO!

La Vie en Bleu incorpoating La Vita Rossa
Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 May 2018

A celebration of French and Italian cars, music and entertainment

ADVANCE DISCOUNT TICKETS AVAILABLE JUST £15

On the weekend of Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 May 2018 the twelfth annual pageant of French motoring excellence – La Vie en Bleu takes place at Prescott Hill Climb, Gotherington, Gloucestershire – home of the Bugatti Owners' Club. The spectacular two-day event is a firm favourite on the motoring calendar and celebrates all things French & Italian. Prescott will be transformed once again in to a celebration of fine French and Italian automobiles, with action-packed motor racing, and a whole host of themed entertainment to keep the whole family entertained.

The spectacular Bugatti Chiron to return to Prescott!
The world’s fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and exclusive production super sports car - the Bugatti Chiron to returns to Prescott. The 1479bhp hypercar is the successor to the legendary Veyron and capable of 261mph with an acceleration of 0-124mph in less than 6.5 seconds; from rest, and 186mph in just 13.6 seconds! This limited edition car number 1 of 500 costs a cool £1.9 million. The monstrous 8-litre W16 engined car will carry out regular demonstration over the weekend and you can even win a thrilling passenger ride!
As home to the Bugatti Owners’ Club, the famous Molsheim marque will be well represented with a large gathering of vintage Bugattis, several Veyron’s inc the Supersport and Pur Sang plus its 1990’s cousin the EB110.

Special class for ERA voiturettes
Fans of British racers will be treated to a special class for ERA voiturettes which includes the iconic ex-Raymond Mays R4D the most celebrated chassis in the marque's history and for the first time an ERA E-Type.
The famous cars made by ERA epitomises British motor racing during the 1930s and have a special place in the affections of patriotic enthusiasts. OK so it’s not French or Italian, but ERA R4D was the only D-Type ever built by English Racing Automobiles in the 1930s and was designed to compete with the highly successful Bugatti’s and Maserati’s of the era. Founder Raymond Mays set numerous pre-war records in the R4D, including ones at Prescott. The vehicle remains one of the most successful pre-war competition cars of its time. We will be joined by author and historian Mac Hulbert who will be signing copies of his magnificent ERA R4D book at the Porter Press stand (11am & 2pm each day).

Supercar Paddock
The paddock will be packed with the world’s most desirable, rarest and significant French and Italian cars, plus ‘invited’ supercars including Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis to Alfa Romeos. Sure to be a highlight is Ferrari’s latest flagship model – the ‘LaFerrari, a limited production hybrid sports car which literally means ‘TheFerrari’ in Italian.
The LaFerrari is Ferrari’s first ever production car equipped with the F1-derived hybrid solution – the HY-KERS system –combining an electric motor producing over 150 CV with the most powerful incarnation yet of Ferrari’s classic V12. Its boasts a top speed of 217 mph, similar to that of the Enzo. Come and see it take to the hill! What's more you can join us on the Saturday for a round of the Ferrari Hillclimb Championship.

Joining us for the weekend is a special Ferrari 488 70th Anniversary Special Edition. Not only is it making its debut, but it’s the only one in the world!

Former Bernie Ecclestone Lamborghini Miura on display in the paddock
Widely regarded as the first supercar of the modern era, but even that doesn’t do justice to the sheer jaw-dropping “wow” of its arrival in 1966. The Shah of Persia kept his pair under armed guard and orders rolled in when it was still a naked chassis, long before Bertone found such wonderful clothing for its body. At the time of its debut the Miura was the fastest production car in the world, with a top speed of 280kph, and acceleration from 0-100kph in 6.7 seconds.

Duncan Pittaway returns to demonstrate the 1911 Fiat S76 land speed record contender 'Beast of Turin'
The flame- throwing 28.5-litre Fiat S76 engine is capable of providing an impressive 300bhp at 1800 RPM - enough to propel the car to 116 mph and achieve a one-mile land speed record in 1911. It’s an amazing feat of engineering. ‘Beast’ by name, ‘Beast’ by nature - not just how it roars into motion, but how it handles too. It’s fun to watch Duncan tame it!

Gracing the paddock will be a stunning 1948 Cisitalia 202 SMM Nuvolari Spider
This Cisitalia is the ex-Mario De Boni car one of 28 built between 1947-1948, with only 5 survivors today. It was raced through 1955, including the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti in 1951. In addition to campaigning it in the Coppa d'Oro delle Dolomiti in 1951, it has successfully taken part in the Mille Miglia multiple times.

Battle of Britain Flypast - Saturday 26 May – Dakota 14:05pm
Dakota ZA947 is painted to represent Dakota FZ692 of No 233 Squadron, around the D-Day period in 1944. This aircraft, nicknamed ‘Kwicherbichen’ by her crews, was involved in Para-dropping operations on the eve of D-Day and subsequently in re-supply and casualty evacuation missions into and out of forward airfields in the combat areas. By the end of 1944, 1,092 stretcher cases and 467 sitting wounded had been evacuated to England by the 233 Squadron Dakotas.
The appearance of this iconic plane is a very poignant and evocative sight and we are grateful to The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the RAF's tribute to the aviators of WWII for granting us a flypast - Lest We Forget.

Ian Cook of ‘Pop Bang Colour’ to make debut at La Vie en Bleu.
Ian is a contemporary British artist, internationally renowned for his unique form of creating artwork – painting with radio-controlled cars, actual car tyres and toy car wheel instead of paintbrushes! Graduating with a first class degree in Fine Art Painting, Ian has a quirky edge and has always described his artwork as ‘a friendly explosion of colour'. Ian and his fleet of paint splattered cars will be on site throughout the weekend, where you can see him live in action!

Music and Dance
Non-stop themed entertainment from ‘One Man Frank’, a tribute to Frank Sinatra, the incredible Oyster ‘Street’ Opera and ‘Le Swing’ a five-piece band performing French Chanson, Gypsy Jazz and 1930’s Swing music to create a sophisticated French cafe vintage feel.

Alongside the roving accordion player, and our fabulously entertaining stilt walkers will be the stunning Vegas Showgirls swapping their feathers for flapper dresses and performing a Charleston routine to a French inspired Electro Swing song as well as the original Can Can.

On Site Competition
We just love how people enter into the ‘Spirit of Prescott’, this year we will be awarding a bottle of Italian Prosecco on the Saturday and French champagne on the Sunday to an unsuspected person that epitomises that ‘spirit’. This will be presented by the Bugatti Club Chairman Charles Trevelyan.

Hi Sparks
A new Masser & a new member: welcome! You may wish to introduce yourself on the Newbie section.
I've been to the event a couple of times before and it's one of my favourites. This year we're going on the Sunday so I may not see you -but if you do spot me (well the car!) say Hi.

Will be there in the GS on both days, parked in the Orchard (weather depending).

Will be out and about watching rather than with the car, and normally have a posh picnic at the top of the hill at the last hairpin.

Say hello if you see us.

Thank you David.

I will certainly say Hi, but I'm going on the Saturday, so it's unlikely this time round.

I went last year, it is a great event. Spoke with a guy sitting in his car, it may have been a GS, about my long held desire to own a Maserati, I'm sure he must be someone on this forum.

Anyway, back again this year and my ride will have a trident on the front!!!!

That may have been me? Black GS?

I'm sure I recall it being a light metallic colour, almost a silver with a hit of brown. Grigio Nuvolari?

But, my memory isn't what it used to be. So it could have been black ;-)

I chased passes yesterday and was told they were posted on Friday???

They agreed to send me a second one, so if both arrive in time I will bring them with me on Sat and Sun in case anyone is declined entry to the orchard.

Note thunderstorms expected in the SW on Sunday but only a 20% risk of rain... best have a brolly in the car.
