Several weeks static after an SI service and the Spyder has just returned from a faultless 500 mile round trip to the North. It would surely make it past Glasgow and the in-laws….
That's good to know - we're up north (Lake District for 10 days) but left Roary at home and not sure he would like it as the roads are rather pot-holey and wet

By the way, it is possible for multiple people to combine pensions into one pot to do something like this but I don't know the detail as it wasn't necessary for me.
Yes, you can do it like that and you don’t have to all invest the same amount. However the costs of running that sort of SIPP or SSAS? can be quite high (admin costs informing all the pension holders about rent collected etc etc).
My other half and his partners bought a couple of freehold buildings that their business part-occupied. The income/costs/sale proceeds were all in proportion with their % ownership of the partnership at the time when each building was purchased. They paid off the mortgage with a market value rent from the partnership and also from the tenants in other parts of the buildings.
In the Sportsitalia scenario, I suppose the way to do it is everyone invests a chunk to purchase a freehold outright and then SI pay a nice juicy rent. Otherwise it isn’t worth it! Unless it is a large site with redevelopment potential further down the line when Matt retires…..

Matt & Co.

One word. F#ck.

Everything is temporary. You will rise again. You have a great approach, honesty and trust gained from this community. Keep hold of that and wait for the next opportunity.

Announcement - SportsItalia. SportsItalia is Maserati Specialist, set up as part of an effort to give Forum Members and Maserati owners a good value quality service. As members will no doubt be aware, there have been some recent developments around a new business operating out of what was the SportsItalia premises. It is therefore obvious that there is more than meets the eye regarding the recent changes with SportsItalia. While it might be easy to speculate as what has happened, that speculation on the forum would not be helpful to any parties while the details cannot be confirmed. As such, and only for as long as is necessary, posts relating to the changes at SportsItalia, the new business or the individuals involved will not be allowed. Once the situation has been resolved, any relevant or pertinent information will be provided.

Without wishing to be facetious, that is a strange statement.
Everyone is wishing for a favourable outcome to this sorry affair hopefully a resumption of a respected business. Surely a forum like this would promote and encourage that but then I’m not party to the inner going’s on behind the scenes.

For a moment I wondered if was a bit unfortunate for the owner of a forum to 'censor' comment about the owner's own (past or future) business dealings on that forum. A bit like the owner of a newspaper interfering with editorial freedom. But on reflection I think it has been the (good) practice of the forum in general to try to avoid speculation about any commercial businesses. Which makes good sense, I think. An exception might be made to warn members about some complete scam or something, but yes, we probably should not be speculating (publicly) about anybody's business plans, whether they are an owner, moderator, member or whatever.

It will be nice to hear about some sort of resolution in the end, however. :)
