Sad news. Very well known in my area, friends of friends at school and so on. In fact my business partners sister was at school with Tara, same teams, etc. It's no age to go, even if you have partied hard.

RIP.

Genuinely sad news.

Alan Simpson, writer of Hancocks half hour and Steptoe and Son.

Yes Im old but deserves a mention also.

Sadly viewed as second most important celeb death today by new outlets.

Jodi Kidds ex GS is often at Emblem, but didn't realise TPT had one as well. Good girl.

Sad for anyone who dies...but she gave humanity what?

Have to agree Peter. Always somewhat sad when anyone goes at that age , especially when they wasted their life, but she was a symbol of what our society has sadly become - you can achieve notoriety, public appeal and fame with absolutely no talent whatsoever, no skills and not contributing anything to society so long as the "media" see you as sellable.......sorry guys, an indifferent shrug of the shoulders all this deserves, which is all she got from me when she was on telly ****** or out her head on who knows what.
I'll get my coat.

She wasn't exactly 'taken'. The 'brain tumour' was a benign pituitary tumour which is very very rarely life threatening.
It's almost guaranteed to be a drug overdose.
It's so sad it happens to the rich and infamous.
Whenever they feel depressed, they should either travel to meet more unlucky folk (the starving or terminally ill children). Do something constructive with their lives to 'give back' rather than focusing on their declining aesthetics and appeal.

The problem with "fame" these days is that there is generally no talent associated with it. Back 20 years ago you needed a talent or skill to be famous or at least the majority had. It seems the level of talent is associated with the level of debauchery and vulgarity that they inflict on the World via their narcissistic programs (read Kardashians etc). Celebrity status seems more important to most youths these days, this makes most of them more depressed than ever because they aspire to something so vacuous and unobtainable.

Reality tv and social media has a lot to answer for with it's nihilistic, narcissistic and egotistical ways.

Footballers get me,
They are mercenary, looked after, pampered, paid outlandish sums for limited skills and bar a few exceptions do nothing for the area they are employed in when they could give/do so much for not really a lot of outlay.
It is a society that is poorer for it too

I thought it was just me watching these people act out their sad lives on TV and wondering what do they actually do apart from appear on the show?
Nothing against TPT and I feel sorry for her friends and family but I could never understand what she did to make her of interest to the public.
At least I can understand what footballers do to "justify" their incomes.

The MD of one of my clients is on the fringes of this crowd (TPT et aliae), she has a friend who networks events and gatherings. She will literally turn up to the opening of a packet of crisps if you can afford her @ £3.5k/day plus expenses....

It is sad when anyone dies young and Tara sadly did just that, but many are mourning because of her celebrity status not because of what she contributed to life and others well being.

Unfortunately although I liked her spirit, I have no time for celebrities who typically contribute f**k all to society, unless it is for personal gain and to increase their likeability, it is the unsung here's that get my vote!

Agreed.

I'm a big NFL (American football..) fan, the players do so much more than I've ever seen or heard a footballer do, and are encouraged to do so by the league through things like the Walter Payton man of the year award.

For example, I'm a Seattle Seahawks fan. There is a defensive player named Cliff Avril. He is nicknamed the Haitian Creation, because his family originates from Haiti and because every time he records a sack, he builds a house in Haiti
