To the OP:

Own a 1.75 Turbo Alfa Giulietta QV in manual from new. My daily. One of three Alfas I’ve owned. Love it. Nice fizz and poke off the lights.

A faulty temperature sensor went out, which needed replacing. Other than that, the car has been faultless.

No experience unfortunately with Alfa diesel.

Don’t be scared off with Alfa unreliability concerns. True, they will never be as reliable as a Mazda for example, but that’s the small price you pay for something with flair and character.

Ahhhhh. Maserati well ahead of BMW and Mercedes in the reliability stakes then. Lovely.
Or is it just fewer issues reported by the owners?
Is this really a survey of reliability or is it owner expectations that end up being surveyed?

Rather than go to their dealer, owners come onto SportsMaserati, find someone else had the same issue, see what cured it and fix it themselves, permanently.
