A good one can set you back about £35k...there was one on Auto-Trader with very low miles in red but its top dollor...£115k

I still like them..Remember when they came out and how stunning they looked......Had a certain Daytona look about them around the back....

I remember seeing one in Guildford when they first came out. You have to love that rear end and the 12 pots. The front looks a bit dated. Check out those 3200 esq seats.

All in all a very interesting buy for £17k.

A friends father had a silver and he kept it for around 12 years as he loved it and just couldn't sell it..................When he did sell it he bought a blue QP...Good lad..

They were great cars. I looked for one for ages five/seven years ago but could not find what I wanted - a manual M - without paying through the nose.

The M has ASR and has a lot of the faults fixed. For example, the original cars were prone to the dropping window mechanism failing, repeatedly.

Once the 550 came out in 97, the 456 market went to autos as those after a sporty drive went for the 550. That's why there are so few manual M cars.

£17k early one, hard to say what could go wrong.

With you there Andrea im going for one and not giving my 4200 away so I will be keeping her and aim to get the miles up as per Matt's suggestion aim for 200K.

thats a lot of car for the money - this was one of my top cars when they 1st came out - they don't stand out which I like - now the wheels seem small on these and I would now perfer 328 but you won't get that car for this money
