I recently purchased a nice example of the 164 24v Leaf... I owned a 12v many years ago and always promised myself another at some point in life, a stunning four door saloon in my view...

Presently has undergone a mechanical check through which thus far has managed to get us to a point of a fresh no advisory MOT... now she's in the body shop getting some much needed attention with a full respray to bring back that resplendent Rosso.

A few pics below to wet the appetite, more news to follow as I slowly give this one the TLC which will hopefully keep it on the road for may years to come.

The last image is of me with my 12v leaf... hopefully I'll get to replicate that pic with the 24v real soon :)

unde-rated is an under-statement :)

The 164 is much like the Lancia Thema Turbo.
Nobody knows what that car is about, until they drive it ;)

Yes, a great car, infact that period leading into the GTV and 156 was a golden age for Alfa, soon may it return!

The only thing for me that is a slight detraction for both the 164 and the 166 is that they are FWD. Now I know that in real world driving this is a far better system for most people, but not for the "enthusiastic" driver. Mister Alfascozia, that is one nice motor!! Now then fellow Alfisti, what is wrong with this car??? It's been for sale for ages, since the middle of last year anyway, and nobody is touching it, WTF????? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C290450

It just looks a bit too good to be true???

For sale in the wrong place, too new to be on there ;)

Well I did wonder about that, but they do have a modern car section as well as the classics, my own feeling is that it's probably worth summat near his asking price, but for the ordinary punter with all the anti Alfa baggage cluttering their thinking, it's probably priced too high?

Does look to be a nice motor though, and a particular attraction to me is the auto box.

Go for it, my Alfa specialist has a 2.5 manual, had it for years and loves it to bits.

Out of mild interest what will you sell the spider for?

Well she wont go cheap, that is for sure. I have spent a lot of money on her, and she has 12 months MOT and 6 months road tax. only 56000 on the clock and is in lovely condition. If you are interested further, drop me a PM with your email addy, and I will send you more details and photos. I am not in any great hurry to sell her really, but I would if I could get a reasonable price for her. It has been very frustrating not being able to drive her very far because of my leg problems, that is one of the reasons the auto 166 is quite attractive to me. no clutching to do see?:D
