Todays update. I had a look over the head gaskets once they had dried, faulty areas are now plainly obvious. So, get the heads cleaned up, and all the other bits and bobs, and start the rebuild. Who has decent gasket sets on offer at the moment I wonder?

Keep going, reading this thread with avid interest just in case I ever have to do my 2.5 :)

Any update or is it under a sheet and pushed to the back of the garage at the moment?

My head gaskets looked like that too. its amazing it didn't trash the engine!

Lol! Something like that. I'm back offshore, have cleaned heads and will have them checked for true when I get back, skimmed if required. Been cleaning associated bits and bobs,( there's quite a lot!) Then the Maserati needed new springs for MOT so that took over, but she's all sorted now, so hopefully progress with it when I get back.
