Just to close this out; I waved goodbye to the 156 this evening as it sold for parts to a trader in Essex. It will make a fine donor car. I managed 50,000 miles in it in two years realatively trouble free. It was always a pleasure to drive and made bangernomic sense till the last few months. I won't be upset to have the space in the alley back.
