How time flies!
I've just had a nudge from the organisers.
Guys, We have the priviledge of being invited to display our cars once again this year.
It's good to know that they appreciate our presence and entries are open to all the forum marques.
I've touched base with the Stroke Association and they are able to offer us the same deal as last year.
To us this means free gate passes, a reserved display area and about a fiver* for each vehicle, including all passengers.
*A bit more if we pitch any gazebos to provide welcome sunshade.
As you may know the event attracts a mixture of interesting cars both on the track and also in the display areas. Many photo opportunities there.
I'm also expecting the Autoslalom challenge and the prize for the 'top gun' last year was a free passenger ride round the track, and leaderboard fame.
I did offer some meagre club awards a couple of years back but everyone was chicken, Pah, I spitta de floor! Useful items for me though so it's an ill wind ....
Only ever seen 2 Alfas competing in the event, and one of those happened to be mine!
Now, If you own or, preferably, can borrow a suitably dramatic car which bellows at less than 100 Db and have driving skills acceptable to the organisers you too can offer track rides to the clamouring public.
What we need to do now is tell the organisers how many cars we can offer for the event.
I think that there will be 15 so with due modesty I will put myself at the bottom of the list:-
