Good afternoon everyone. I have just had an email from Dave Morris who organises the Supercar Displays at Oulton Park on Easter and August Bank Holiday Mondays. Rather than try to edit it, I will reprint it in full.

Following recent discussions with friends at both the Oulton Park and Italian Auto events, it seemed that there was a lot of interest in holding an 'end of year' get-together type of 'Cars and Coffee' gathering somewhere in the middle of the country. It was suggested that we aim for somewhere rural, but with good access to the Motorway network. I think I might have come up with something that could just work ?

MTech engineering currently run a Team of Lamborghinis in the British GT Championship. Prior to this, they ran a team of Ferraris in the same championship. The owner - Mike - has worked at the Ferrari and Zonda factories. They also have a fleet of Formula Renault single-seaters that they rent out at various circuits, for people to sample for a few laps at a really low hire rate. Mike has all the latest diagnostic equipment for working on Supercars and is a really useful person to get to know. Particularly for the really hard to find faults that pop up now and again.

Mike has said that if we'd like to call in on Sunday the 26th, he would happily show us around the premises: and provide us with complimentary coffee and croissants. This is an offer I can't refuse and it would be great to see you there as well.

The premises are just outside Tamworth in a really nice rural setting: it's just 19 miles (26 minutes) from the M6. The address is - Gate A, Unit 15, Elford Lowe Farm, B79 9BJ

At lunchtime some of us may wish to head to the nearby 'Fig and Olive' for some lunch. It's an 'up-market' Garden centre.

It would be fab to see you one last time this year, before we start afresh in 2022 ! Please let me know if I can count on your support ?

Unfortunately I am down in the Great Wen on Granddad duty that weekend, so sadly I will not be able to make it. However, if you would like to add your name to this post I will let Dave know how many of us might be turning up.

No-one interested??

I think your original post got lost in the system somewhere Terry and not visible to others. Its is showing now as a new post even though its dated 12th September. No idea why but hopefully some will be able to attend now.

It was visible, I saw it at the time. It might have been a busy day and dropped off the latest post list.
