  • Hi there, found your profile via YouTube as came across your previously pwned 4200 for sale.
Curious to know any particular reasons for selling after all that work? Seems like you put a lot into it.

Anything to be aware of or look out for on it? Was there much in the way of corrosion?

I'm in Ireland, so a bit of a journey to go view it.

    Cheers,
    Brian

I guess it boils down to me wanting a daily that has the same power as the 4200 which I could use as company miles and there isn't enough room in my budget for two performance cars. I was rolling around in an Alpina D5 Biturbo which ultimately I gave up to the wife so she could daily it and I wanted something similar but not too spangly. Daily driving the 4200 felt wrong and was expensive on maintenance

There is a tad of rust on the underside but nothing that's that dramatic. At least it was in good nick when I let go of her can't comment on what the last owner(s) have been up to.

I suggest going through all the threads I have started on the car. The torque tube fiasco was really the straw that broke the camels back to be honest

Interesting this tube repair. So what sort of cost is it i see new are £3k plus ! i do feel the noise is inside the tube its a distinct rattle .you can hear it outside the car. On a normal diesel car its the same as when the dual mass flywheel is worn. Im interested to see how you fare when its refitted.
