I have not see any measures to freeze road tax seeing as we’re not supposed to be going anywhere....Also haven’t seen the insurance companies rush to reduce prices as mileage drops off a cliff, along with risk.

I’m going to do the Sainsbury’s run in the FF just to warm it up. It’s got a great boot for it anyway! As i said, if we’re all going down, I’m doing it looking my best.

I was going to get the 42 back on the road next month but what is the point??!! I have even tucked the Barchetta away as we have Karen's car which was hit a few weeks ago by the mother-in-law's next door neighbor. it was booked in for repairs for yesterday but for obvious reasons cancelled and we have Karen's mums Fiesta to use whilst it was in for repairs, and she will obviously not be using it now so we are keeping it for the foreseeable future!

I think you need to be proactive re road tax as SORN is easy to do and suggest you do today if you want to save from April as otherwise you forfeit the whole month. Insurance companies are not known for offering you money back willingly! I have SORN'd all my toys, as using any expensive looking cars at this time when many have lost jobs and income just seems crass to me and may attract the wrong sort of attention when parked up and left, so just the modern daily BMW and Cayenne being taxed and used for now. I've contacted all the insurance companies (most on Lockton but a couple of others too) and all have agreed to look at revised cover without road risks until further notice, but yet to see revised premiums and if it makes much of a saving.

I keep checking the Govt site re MOT extension status as they advised to do, and so far my Vanquish which is due in April is still showing April expiry and not October as they have said it should with the 6 month extension.

My race car is now on a road policy, I just asked the question a couple of years ago and it turned out that a fully comp road policy was half the price of storage and transit insurance!

That is odd; Alex my lad is 24 to insure the classic T2 VW camper on a limited mileage policy with Adrian Flux not much short of £2K reduced it to a garage policy for the winter £200 and still builds the NCB.

Unfortunately I’m no longer 24!

Transit bit probably makes a difference although the road policy covers it on a trailer too.

Refuse to do it. I'll use the Vantage for a supermarket run at some point, and I'll drop some essentials off at my Mum's at the same time.
That's the spirit, none of us know what is through the next door so do what puts a smile on your face today........so long as you only go out once a day, keep 2 metres away from me and just buy essentials though! ;)

I use my GTA as daily driver and drive daily to work. The roads are empty in London these days and it is relaxing to drive..

Not being able to run the company from home, I’m in the office everyday, trying to earn the money to pay the staff the 20% the GOVN won’t. Travelling safely, by myself, in my own car(s), not using public transport. So, I’ll continue to use all my cars, rotating daily. No SORN here. And hopefully my road tax will find its way to buying some PPE and ventilators for the NHS.

Wow, never has SORNED appeared so much in a single thread.
It would appear that the rarely seen Maserati is going into hibernation and will become even rarer.
UK roads will be a lot quieter and much less exotic as a result.:(
