Radio and CD problems

I have a 2004 4200 Cambiocorsa with the extra of a Multi changer in the boot. I’ve had the car for around 7 months and the radio has never worked. Neither does the CD player in the armrest of the CD changer in the boot.

The radio does not even display any options, just says Audio. (See picture 1) The SatNav does work though, which uses the same armrest CD player.
I’ve checked the fuses in the passenger footwell, and in the boot but they are fine. I’ve tried resetting the battery as that had been disconnected recently.
I’m assuming it is not the aerials as the SatNav works plus the CD changer should work without the Aerials I assume?
Seems maybe the radio is faulty? There is a set of wires loose in the footwell fuse box but no matching connection can be seen to plug it in. Guess it is an optional extra that was not added? See picture 2. Also another set of wires not connected under the drivers side rear headrest – don’t know if these are relevant (Pic 3)?
Any ideas to the radio/ CD problem?

Many Thanks

Steve

The Sat Nav uses a different antenna to the radio. It is in the back of the NIT and is normally green.

Have you had the arm rest apart? It maybe that the cables for the CD multi play are not connected, (are there any lights on the multi player and is there power to it? Try ejecting or inserting a disc.

Antenna for the radio are in the A pillars.

The loose wires look like the ones for the PDC sounder when you reverse (if fitted)

Hi, Thanks.
Have at this moment got the armrest apart! Seems OK. The multichanger does not seem to power up at all. But the one in arm rest does. I keep searching for any disconnected power wires for CD mulit changer. And guess it's remove the A pillers now!

The loose wire could well be PDC sounder as they are not fitted! Thanks for that

Umm, stupid question as it's been a long time since I used the 4200 NIT but you haven't turned it off, have you? Left hand knob pushes as well. Sure that's not it but, well, KISS....

Ha, no I hope not as I've been trying to get it started for months! There doesn't seem to be power in the mulitchanger so checking the A pillers for now. Thanks

Another daft question - is the FM aerial plugged in? Re: CD changer - it takes it's power via the blue micro iso connector.
The NIT uses a standard ISO 10487 arrangement - rotated through 180degs. Maybe of use:

Thanks, Just removed center armrest and all the connections seem to be plugged into the unit including the ariel. I'm starting wonder if it just a faulty radio!

Ok, getting somewhere, just found the loose wire/connector in pic3 is for the diversity box, as they are unconnected under the rear headrests! Still no signal for the radio but, the battery is almost flat now so will continue investigation tomorrow!
