I quite fancy a duo select as my favoured choice.
Didn't think of a *** import.
That one most likely needs a clutch but should have a good subframe.
It's easy buying in Belgium as I found last year.
Hello Phil,
The one in Belgium says it's a Japanese import. Be careful that it's been properly imported into Belgium - i.e. not only all import taxes and duties paid but also on normal Belgian plates. Otherwise you may have a **** (h e l l ) of a game getting it onto French plates (not only import taxes and duties, but also "Certificate of Conformity" issues.
Cheers
Tony

Pre Brexit I would have bought one in the UK and register here as it was really easy when I brought the Porsche over but now too much of a headache.

I found my LHD GT in the UK on autotrader. Car was originally registered in Italy, then Berlin, then importet into the UK and registered here. Mind you this was pre-Brexit.
Car was offered price wise the equivalent of UK cars.

Good news Phil, so will it be an addition or a replacement for the Boxter/Jaaag or R4?
The Jaguar has served me well for nearly 4 years so that will go.
I'm working on the Opel Manta and that will be sold too.
Don't do as much mileage now so a V8 purely for pleasure along with the Boxster.
R4 part of the family :)

If you do find one in the UK you can always have it delivered to mine and get a ferry over as a foot passenger and I can 'deliver' in to Dover for you.
I'm only 20 minutes from there now. Or 5 from the Euro tunnel.

Cheers Mark but just not easy anymore sadly with duty and vat payable so the hunt is on here.

We're in a bit of a painful situation in Belgium as about 1.5 years ago, a new rule came into practice that changed calculations for the initial tax you have to pay (BIV in Dutch) when you get a new or second hand car that is less than 30 years old. It now takes emissions into account in a very painful way, and as such, cars such as 4200s, QP Vs etc are now only bought by lunatics (ask me how I know  ) as BIV is very high (above 11k euro on top of the couple of grand you pay on a yearly basis)
This will probably either drive prices down and/or mean that most cars that come on the market will shift abroad.

Meanwhile the Eurocrats drive around in their EU supplied limos chucking out as much as ever and claiming every cent they can. Only driven in Brussels once and never again! Watched a Merc’ 600 barge, negotiating a roundabout by grinding it around the kerb!

well if you really like a challenge Phil, convert UK car to LHD ;)

have to agree about DS , the dry sump engine and 6 speed were part of the design. The ZF may be more comfortable but we don't go out in slippers do we?

Slippers? I've seen you drive bare foot!

Round here they had to put signs up pre COVID advising people they wouldn't be allowed in Tesco in their pyjamas so......
