And how it actually happened. Simple misreading?

C

I had something similar when I got the Jag MOT'd a couple of years ago, the guy doing the MOT typed the mileage in wrong (10,000 miles less) and said "no one will be bothered", I told him I was and he would have to change it.
Which he begrudgingly did.

Glad about that!

If you spot the error within 30 days of the MOT the error can be corrected by the garage that issued the MOT.

After 30 days its an absolute pain to have any error corrected. I had something similar happen when the MOT tester transposed some digits from the VIN number as the mileage on an Alfa and over declared the mileage as a result.

Mot testing station has to do a letter to DVLA admitting the error and you then have to send that with an appeal letter to get them to correct it.

Utter PITA.

Back on topic after all this time, I was at Petrolheadonism at Knebworth this W/E and bumped into Mat Armstrong who has gone from strength to strength on his channel having just taken his rebuilt AM Vantage to
Monaco and the Stelvio Pass. Thoroughly decent and humble bloke IMO who is amazed at how popular he is!

His LW Granturismo was there and still made 430BHP on a dyno run. Not sure about the impact of that bodykit on the aerodynamics tho!

Sam McGoo and family were there too and met the Stig.

I have been watching this guy. Started watching due to the GT rebuild. I was less than impressed with what he did to the car and he is a bit of an acquired taste. But I've watched a few other of his videos and I have started to have a bit of respect for him. He's honest and open and he's giving it a go. Started on his drive working it out for himself and encouraging others to give it a go as well. Yeah he's loud - and I swear if I hear him say "it's sick" one more time I may well be - but hats off to him. He gave up his job, taught himself, never tries to put himself across as someone who is an expert, is actually quite modest behind the bravado and is following his dream. Took some courage but appears to be working out for the guy.

I quite like his GT, apart from the broken suspension. If he’d painted it Dulux white and glued some carbon tat on it the locals would’ve loved it.

His latest project is an ex-Everyman Racing Murcielago in bits.

If, or should I say, when he gets this back running, all credit to him.

That's the one he's putting a Tesla motor in I believe seeing something his Ferrari mate posted this weekend #Rastarossa

Yep, Ratarossa did post that. Truth or deflection? Time will tell. If the V12 is completely beyond redemption, it kind of makes sense.

I can’t see him putting a Tesla motor in that, he doesn’t seem the sort and if you watch the video he keeps saying it’s his dream car and he’s done what most of us do and buy it because he wants one not because it makes financial sense

Can't believe this was a week ago already!
As Frank said, was nice to meet him and see the car in the flesh after watching him/it for a few years.
Pretty sure he'll put the video up of the car on the dyno at some point.

Never stripped an engine before and decided his first time would be on a Lambo V12 that he paid £100k for!

Great to see he is going for it and is not backing away from the challenge. And he already seems more competent than what Everyman employed (who is now in prison for armed robbery).
