Any idea how many were built...?

Found one for sale...

Around 10-15000. They’ve got expensive recently. They were also made in a number of places as well as Dieppe; Spain, Bulgaria and Mexico.

The 1st new car we had that I was actually aware of, a dark grey metallic 404 Estate, such a cool car then. Also with the sunroof.

Came across this yesterday when a little old guy walked into my workshop after hearing that a English liked old Cars.
1965 850cc 3 speed box and 6 volt electrics.
A lot of work but should be saved.

Intended to use it to holiday in France but had to cancel so need to sell it. I have scarcely driven it since buying it 18 months ago. Recent MOT with 3 advisories. 55k miles full history.
I paid £7400 at on line auction and spent £1860 with Malcolm at Savoy garage http://www.citroen-mechanics.co.uk/
