I need to move to somewhere more rural !
My 2 daily cars are in my avatar, whilst still more enjoyable than a bland car, 30/40 zones, potholes and motorways are not as much fun as rural a and b roads of course.
Like the standard look. Too many done with fancy coloured hoses and rocker covers, carbon bits etc. Each to their own of course, but that’s the way I’d go with mine too.
I always thought the XE S, the 3.0V6 supercharged one, would be a good road car with 340 or 380bhp in later ones.
Also, they did a manual in the f-type with this engine, wonder how easy it would be to convert, all the hardware and software should match?
I think if I ever sold my car to a dealer I’d just provide the service book and keep all the receipts. Not sure how I’d get these to any new owner but it seems a shame to me that all the history gets lost sometimes.
I get the impression it’s dealers who just throw away all the history...
I had a cloverleaf one for 4 years. 1.75 turbo petrol. Was a great car, never let me down. Only niggle in the manual is no space in footwell for a footrest. You get used to it though. Bit odd that the smaller mito has space for the footrest though!
Sounds great, I’m not jealous at all.
I did something similar today. I drove to Warrington in my daughters 2011 fiesta zetec round the M60 and along the M62. I had wet weather to contend with too.
