Let's face it, the real thing is pretty much out of reach for most but this one looks the part for sure!

Upside, looks superb. Downside, standard Montecarlo running gear and 'as it's an old car you expect it to use oil, and it's been welded' etc. I wouldn't pay £14k though.

£14k is a snip if you love an 037.

You can always take if further with a different engine setup?

Absolutely, the hard work has been done and with cars like these, they become ongoing projects that you can improve and personalise

That's lovely. But I see that as a project.

You need to change the engine, brakes and suspension, then you'll have a proper motor.
But I imagine that is gonna cost you the same as what it goes for. Circa 25k I reckon.

Much of the hard work has been done & importantly, it is already UK road registered and I assume not on a Q plate as it's down as a Montecarlo so that's a real plus.
A Stratos kit/replica sold as a running project & already registered would sell for well in excess of £25k and this is much rarer & just as pretty so I would expect the price to climb a fair bit from where it is now

It's disappeared from Ebay. Finally talked Mrs Hawk into this being a great idea (and not a money pit in any way!) and taking a look and it has ended :(

Can't say I'm surprised but annoying all the same.

That is disappointing, I was looking forward to seeing photos of it in your garage - maybe it will re-surface
