floor pans/sills/front inner arches rust like crazy

timing belt every 3 years

other than that, they are great, but you are better off with the 147

and id get a facelift.

mine was on 40,000 miles, new clutch and cambelt, immaculate, facelift model, black leather, sold for £750

Great little car Dem......but old now with lots of miles under than one but it does look very tidy and clean..Must be worth a look......147 may be a better bet but I like the 145 looks more than a 147. Very individual little car.

I ran one for a couple of years, no probs, but it was new, then had two 147s. I like that, and a bit different these days.

They tax me heavy for the company car, at the mo i need their car as they wont let me drive the Smart and the CRV is not economical.....

Even if i leave, every employer expects you to have your own car, i was going to buy it and run it till it doesnt run anymore....i emailed the guy and i could have a deal for £700

I have run 145 as daily hacks on and off for years. They are simple and fun but they are getting on a bit now but that does mean they are cheap. This one looks a tad pricey, you can normally get face lifted ones with less miles on for that money.

Have you thought about the 146 especially in Ti spec, they tend to be cheaper and for some reason feel a bit more grown up, less manic go kart than the 145 is.

More fun than a 147....the ones I have driven have been.

Agreed, Andy. Never any issues with rust on ours, either.
Belts are no biggy. £420 from Felice for the whole service.
130k is a lot, though. I'd be hoping there was evidence of suspension bushes and stuff having been replaced.

Had one of the last 146Ti's, but when it went 8 years ago the electrics where shot, corrosion on the relay board.
Really enjoyed my time with it though (4years).

It's odd Dem...The 147 you would think would be a sorted car compared to the 145 but have had a few friends with them and they had nothing but trouble with them.....The one chap who worked with me ended up giving it back to the dealer as he had so much go wrong...Not big things just something every week....Sure there are good ones out there mind you.

Likewise, Andy. They never floated my boat. I was given one for a couple of weeks while my then brand new 156 Selespeed was having it's gearbox actuator issues fixed (done 3 times over the first year!). I hated it!

Never thought of the 146 being a marmite car!
