Nice going! I was pleasantly surprised that my 2.5k miles around Europe averaged 20.4! Including many alpine passes - car driven in manual sport the whole way, 2nd gear for every tunnel!

£595 for an X pipe? Pretty sure I paid £300 for mine from Marios at Autoshield.

There’s a forum custom aluminium seat lever set being finalised at the moment, quite a few of us on here have ordered them. No more breakages.

So, when I stopped at Sarn services, I went to get into the back behind the driver seat, and the seat lever broke. So just bought a replacement.... It's a small dent on the refund funds but a dent nevertheless.

£27 spent.

And whilst I'm totalling as this is a project thread:

Price paid: £19,750
Refund: £2,500
Delivery: £360
Car cost: £16,850

Parts/modifications
£595 exhaust
£15 vinyl repair kit
£9 spray paint for badge
£20 for box of trim clips (will be used multi car)
£15 for new stainless m screws (As above)
£42 for a failed headlight repair ... Don't ask
£36 for tyre valve
£27 new seat lever

Current cost:
£759 + £16,850

£17,609
Put yourself down for Stindigs aluminium ones that are in production.

Excellent. I'm happy with my one. £595 is good value. It's a lifetime warranty, fitted and saves me getting under the car. That's worth £200 of my money any day.
Glad you are happy and I am sure it sounds awesome. But don’t forget that most of what you are doing has been done many times over and there are savings to be made and potentially used parts eg: I have seen X pipes change hands on here for £250. ;)

Yeah, but lifetime warranty and fitted brings the prices a lot closer. I get it. Convenience charge. I'm all for that many times

What you have done there is quite clever and of course much more cost effective than have if tj redo the whole bumper.

looks good too :)
Thank you. Here's the before.... Only the driver side was an issue, but as you can see, the blue was exposed and funny old thing about people, they will gather around the car and then look for faults. "Oh look it's broken there'....

Even though the car has supposed to have had the 70k mile spark plug change, I can't find the paperwork. So, I'll change them myself anyway.

Denso iridium spark plugs £67
BMC panel air filter £69

£17,744

So the first Italian failure today.... The sat nav LCD screen appears to be kaput... I'm hoping parking the car for 3 hours will fix it. ;)

May be your hard drive on the way out. Normally freezes or goes blank or white from memory. Forum member @Contigo can assist with this.

It did neither. It went diagonal lines across the screen. Changed colour when I changed settings.

I have however loaded the jukebox with 8 albums the dealer kindly left behind. (I intend to post these to him)

Anyway..... Like most issues, I'll leave it be untill it returns. Then it's designing a nice piece of carbon to cover it over and pretend this car is a track special (when the Aircon breaks)
