Engine back from engineering in 2 weeks, going straight back in.

It was advised new rings...you can't get them so 8 new pistons and 16 big end stretch bolts.

A forum member Devon Paul sold it to me a couple of months back. It was reasonable but requires quite a bit of correcting which I am doing over time to make it perfect.

I will have my time in it then sell it on probably next year with a clean bill of health.

Its a good low mileage car and the body and trim has been well cared for.

Interesting ride comparison with the Strad. Is it worse everywhere both in standard and sport modes? Never been in a Strad but always assumed they were a hard ride?

I am not going to post the negatives of the GS chassis as their owners are fully aware of it but yes, the Strad is compliant and leaps ahead as you would expect from a newer developed car.

They are current neither silver nor Grigio mercury. Interior is black, what colour wheels do you think I should go?

Agree matt or maybe a bit darker but not black. Silver just doesn’t do it for me….Colour is always subjective but silver always looks weak to me on a GS.

Definitely not black or silver. Don't lose the design of those wheels to too dark a colour, and silver to me just looks a bit washed out.

Gold seems popular. Subaru-stylee.

Try mine on for a view Matt, think they are the factory Mercury colour... personally I would be going for a shiny finish that reflects the Med Blue.

I am debating what finish to get on the GS when I get them done this winter, looks like they used to be silver, but have been re done poorly in mercury, which almost matches the Grigio Alfieri, but the centre caps don't match, I know you can get Mercury centre caps, but only woth silver tridents, and I want red to match the red (the only colour to have!) calipers.

I wasn't really advocating the silver as I thought the mercury would look more up to date. Having seen Oneball's picture though I'm not so sure now. That looks stunning!
