I made it, (but may have suffered ULEZ - or whatever it is - charge) - and was happy to be behind a SUV so I could blame him for slow progress (but others were desperate to jump into my empty boot - it was easier to put my overnight bags into passenger footwell)

About 8 years ago I wasn't sure if I'd been in the congestion zone because 1st time to that London so I was looking for a big red C on the road not realising it'd been expanded

Looked online but no , they want you to pay it regardless so you can't check even if you're not sure.
