My 3200GT Aircon doesn't work too well. It was supposed to have been re-charged at the last service but I'm suspicious that it wasnt. Any advice on checking the system appreciated. :)

Go local, someone you trust, they can look up volumes, can pull the system down for you, pump in tracer dye and fill it for you. if you have a leak, change the parts and also essentially the dryer; not worth leaving the old one in there as they are only about £30. Also make sure ALL the O-rings are replaced on any disturbed parts with proper air con ones.

Replace the dryer as Newton says, if it’s full of water the system is inefficient. If it’s holding gas change it and the pressure switches.

what he said, replace the dryer and then get it charged by one of the new automatic machines, its worth it, as the AC system is pretty good once its working properly.

Where is the best place to source these parts ? the dryer in particular. I think it would probably be best for me to supply the parts and get a competent mechanic to swap out the dryer.
