This project is actually pretty much finished, just needs some details here and there and a bit of time to fine tune it.

Regardless, as all my Alfas, there is a story behind it, and I can post some pictures for you to see whats been done....

To begin with, this 33 was given to me as a present from three of my best friends, after I had the misfortune of some scum torching my old and very much loved 16v 33 (by accident I may add). I was an innocent victim :/

Upgrades so far:

Engine:

- The 1.7 16v engine was fully rebuilt using JE pistons bringing up the cc's to 1800 and cr 11.5:1
- Colombo & Barriani Fast Road Cams
- Lightened flywheel
- ported intake/exhaust on heads
- OMEX 600 ECU
- BMC air intake
- Magnecor KV85 spark cables

Suspension:

- Koni Yellow front inserts, Koni Red rear shocks, OMP springs
- Front OMP strut bar

Wheels:

- OZ Superleggera 17x7" 37mm offset, 6.2kg each

Brakes:

- Front 4 pot Brembo calipers with 304mm discs for a Fiat Coupe 20VT
- Rear discs and calipers conversion from a crashed 33 which had ABS and rear discs

Exhaust:

- Full stainless system, 63mm end pipes, carbon dressed tip

Interior:

- Sparco steering wheel and gear knob/gaitor
- Dressed up door cards
- front and rear door speakers installed
- Rear electric window motors installed
- Sound proofing (downside I know)
- Overhead DVD player for the baby :p

Still to be done:

- Fit vernier cam pulleys which I already bought
- Fit the COMPLETE powerflex bushes , which I already bought
- Replace the 2 rear red konis with yellows to get a stiffer rear end.....:blushed:
- Do a remap
- Replace the front seats to bucket ones :)

It's a lot of fun, especially on the twisty mountain roads at night :)

Mind you, it will be A LOT better after I install the vernier cam pulleys, as I cant give it much load now.
I get advanced timing tick so I dont push it as much as I want to.

Nevertheless, its done quite a respectable time on the track last week, 1:25.4 - Faster than a Fiat Coupe 20VT and a Mini Cooper :p

True.

Small car, short wheelbase, turbocharged on a track with just one straight and lots of tight bends, is ideal. Not always about the horsepower, but dont forget I can smash you on a straight line ;)

You did a good job improving your lap time by 4 seconds though :thumb1:

Hahaha :) Good one :p

Well the trick to get the perfect sandwich is to remove one of the rear tail lights thats got the reverse white lens on it, and replace it with a left hand drive's one, which is also red.
Then remove the number plates and sit it low and fat :p

You can do it I'm sure :)
