Well post some pictures of the back of the push fit up; the column acts as the negative so you would need to put a plate on the back of the push fit that connected to the positive but didn't touch the column or other negative part (assume it has a plastic body), you can make an insert to the column that used the positive lead (probably with the connector cut off) into a pogo stick contact (like you have on aux power connectors you plug in the cigar lighter). Then the horn stays in the wheel when you remove it = simples....

Alternatively you make the positive contact on the back of the horn a folded brass plate like a spring contact but I suspect this could be temperamental

Right, opinions please (could regret asking that!). Got a new bonnet on the way as mine is going rusty underneath, thinking, after seeing this S2 of a mates of mine, of getting these ducts put in at the front. I think they look good but will also help with cold air being rammed directly on top the carbs, and getting rid of heat whilst stood still.

New bonnet is finally on, and yes it does make a improvement whilst driving. Cold air on the filters and engine is making it smother and extra cooling
