I've thought about a 599 but if I purchased a 599 for £120k it would be older than the car I have now which in my head means I'm going backwards. At least if I bought a Cali for similar price I'd get maybe a 2014/15 so I'd be treading water on the year.
I reckon £95k sits you in a nice model - and spend £2k on a 12months Ferrari warranty

Spend £4K with DMS and I’d take a Cali T over a 599 any day. 650bhp and the ability to drop the roof more than does it for me. IIRC, the Cali is lighter and most probably a bit more agile on B roads than a 599 and I reckon the servicing is going to be a sh!tload cheaper. Horses for courses.

Did you get anywhere with this? I am considering a T, also to scratch my Ferrari itch. Id want to use it a fair bit though which I understand will hit its value? They are coming in at around 105 - 115k now..

Not yet. Still shopping. They reallt drop in winter time so I think I'll sell the Strad end of this summer and go looking for a T.
Yes mileage does seem to hit them badly. I'll only use on nice weekends so I should be able to buy one with a few miles on it and not drive it too much so bring the mileage back into line.
Good luck

Not something I had looked at closely but just spent an hour or so mooching, it would have to be a Cali T for me, it just looks so much better in just about everyday. All the detail touches are there where as they seem compromised on the NA model. Agreed it is more expensive but it looks a much better car, just the opinion of someone who can't afford either.

Back to looking for a Cayman S

ludicrous deals IMO on Cali Ts at the moment. Low mileage well specced ones for around 100k. That is a lot of money but they hold their money well, 2 year main dealer warranty and free servicing so I am suprised they aren’t more common on the road. Really good VFM

A Cali T might hold its money better now it’s slipped to £100k, but up until now, it’s value has been a predictable downward spiral. They are now about the price of a really nice 20 year old 355 or 550. So the question is, how much further can the value of a good Cali T slip? Surely not much, soon.

I saw a CaliT at Wilton at the weekend and its aged very well. When it first came out I was not a fan but now it looks very nice.

As Zep pointed out, those rear exhaust tailpipes are a bit Marmite but could be changed.

Its an interesting consideration now.

I thought the Cali T exhuasts were fairly standard, its the Cali 30 that are weird (stacked one on top of each other)

It is and one of the details I don't like

Yeh, I'm sure they changed the pipes on the T because most feedback was negative on the stacked design of the earlier car. It's a bit Lexus ISF which isn't something that you'd want to be comparing your Ferrari to, good cars though they may be.

I think the 30 looks a little fat arsed.. something they have slimmed down on the T and even more so on the Portofino

I went to Stratstone Manchester on sunday (I was visiting friends in Manc) only to find it closed..! All the other dealerships were open.. Anyway, called into JCT Leeds as I was passing on my way home. Had a look around a T, was very nice I must say. Boot itsnt too bad even with the roof down. Salesman said clutches never need doing, is that right, do dual clutches never need changing??

I find JCT600 Leeds a load of shyte. They're my local dealer but I'll go to GrayPaul Nottingham when I'm ready to take the leap. I find the sales people at Leeds totally ignorant and they don't seem to want to sell, maybe it's just the way I look? I don't look like a footballer but I believe we should all be treat the same and they really don't.

I'm considering both of the above, I know the 30 will probably sound better as it's n/a and the T will be quieter but obviously the 30 is older. The strad is 2014 so I dont really want to be going backwards in years but will I miss the exhaust note if I go for the T over the 30?
...or you could just buy 10-15 2009 Quattroportes...
