CAR AUCTIONS

Wish I had seen that earlier. But the auction ends tomorrow, which gives me no time to research the viability and cost of importing it to, and registering it in, the U.K.
It’s a shame, as fundamentally looks like a good example that simply needs some finishing and altering to European spec.
Wish I had, too...I don't often lurk on the auction sites (though I should, I guess...would have owned the Coupe earlier, for roughly the same $)...but was inspired to see what F cars were lurking in the known universe after seeing this thread. Literally the cheapest F car on Autotrader currently in the US is one that is rather well known to me. But the pricing for the 5s and 6s over yonder (34k!) made me curious about values here at the moment...

Alfa Romeo 4C coming up for auction soon from Targa Florio Cars near Chichester.
I noticed they had this one in stock a few weeks ago and now see it's up for auction. It's a real shame that Alfa didn't do more with the interior on these; this one has canvas seats!

As an aside: can a car be legally sold at auction - not by the finance company - with outstanding finance on it?

I would imagine so, as long as the seller was able to pay off the entire note & hand over a clean title when required...so, logistically I think yes. Legally, in the UK, I have no idea...?

The legal advice I’ve received in the past - in the UK - is that if a car is owned by a finance company then the garage doesn’t have the right to sell it and take payment for it. However, in practice I’m sure this goes on all the time, particularly with dealers who do unit stocking finance.

There's LHD Biturbo (well 222 or 224) that apparently was sold by a garage due to an unpaid debt. It has no immobiliser deactivation key (so won't start) or V5, and is LHD, and is white (my least favourite collection of words with regards to cars) yet is somehow appealing.

So bad it's good!

Awful poverty spec one! Generally not in great condition and has a scrape on real arch which may or may not polish out:

Tell me you live in Dubai without telling me you live in Dubai
I do not! Last went 25 years ago, I hear it has changed a bit.....
I do have an open invitation from friends who live there but no plans to bring a QPV back!
