Defected to the "F" side

Although an avid lurker on the forums but not a regular poster I have enjoyed attending 2 festival Italia's at Brands Hatch and 2 Southend Festival Italia with a number of you SM folk and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone at those events.

My last upgrade was to a New (MY18) GT MC and I've loved every second of it.

I was fortunate enough (and worked darned hard) to make the man maths work out on my latest upgrade.
Mark (Geoff Capes) thought you may like to see so I've posted a few pics below. Not had the greatest of weather yet to get better pics but I'll happily post more once I've got them if any one wanted

So here she is - a beautifully spec'd 488 Spider. The most insanely fast thing I've ever driven. And handles like a dream....

She's garaged at my partner's parents until tomorrow as I've had to get my own garage altered with a new door because she wouldn't fit past the mechanism of the up and over door that was fitted! (The GT fitted past - shows the colossal width of this car) First world problems hey?!

It's Bianco Avus. Slightly more Ivory than the Bianco Eldorado I had on my first GTS. Looks great with the Matt black roof

It's not a video Nic, just a photo hosted on Flickr. I've checked and there looks to be a bit of a problem with Flickr at the moment, but it shows OK on my phone. I'll check it later.

Its different that's for sure.
I doubt I'll ever beat the sound of the NA V8 in the Maserati. I test drove a fair few cars before choosing this and even the NA V12's were less anthemic than the GTS. Maserati really got that right

But.. despite this being a turbo V8 they've managed to make it sound very nice. I'm tempted to put in the wireless exhaust valve control to force them open no matter what the rev range. Would also allow me to keep it quiet around the neighbourhood when needed
