As some of you may know I have been looking for a Ferrari 550 for ages, I really should have bought one 3 years ago when I first decided I wanted one but I didn't so no point in worrying about it now. I have looked at quite a few cars this year and not seen anything of the standard I would have wanted at a remotely sensible price so I decided I would have to accept that owning a 550 is one that got away - for now at least, as I will keep monitoring the classifieds.

Anyway I still wanted a late manual Ferrari so decided to look at the alternatives and decided eventually on a 360, I chose that over a 430 because it doesn't have all the controls on the steering wheel in the way the 430 does and also have spoken to several people who have owned both who prefer the 360 to drive.

Anyway a car came up for sale in a specification I really liked so I did a deal on it about five or six weeks ago and finally picked it up yesterday. The weather was horrid so not many pictures, I will hopefully get some better ones when the weather improves and I get her cleaned up again.

This will probably be the chariot of choice for Le Mans.

She is Tour de France blue and currently has the optional split rim wheels but I have already acquired a set of genuine 360 Challenge wheels which are away being refurbished as we speak.

The interior is tan with electric Daytona seats with blue inserts and a tan and blue dash and steering wheel. The roll hoops are also trimmed in tan leather.

She has done just 21,000 miles with full history and is very clean and tidy.

Fortunately the last 15 miles of the journey home the weather dried out and the sun came out so was able to have the roof down and hear the engine sing :D

Hey Robin, whats with buying up all the descent cars....leave some for us :)

Congrats by the way, you need to phone up DFDS and change the reg if you are taking it. I think Frank is also taking his F360 coupe too.

Very nice, and nice to see with the gate. I have 1/2 looked at them and many seem to have paddles.

Very nice. I don't normally like ragtops but the 360 is worth having an exception for. Did you try out the coupe as well or was the heart set on the spyder? I haven't tried a 458 in anger yet but I'd agree that the 360 has the sweetest handling. Chucking it into a corner it just feels .... Right ( avoids use of balanced or poised even though he really wants to oops)

Lovely car.
That makes a dozen cars?
You need a fleet manager and a weekly YouTube car programme, 'Team GCR Garage'!

Great car love TDF blue.
Can't beat a 360 and you can only give one person a ride.
Will look great with challenge wheels.
Phil.

The 360 is a Great Ferrari and value for money I think very good and the sound they emit with a decent exuast on them is just beautiful.
Going for a spin in mine now.

What are they like in terms of service and reliability versus something like a 4200

Similair costs to run or lots more?
Does the 360 have a Cambelt and are clutch life similair etc

Just wondered ;-)

Lee, Ferrari are more expensive to run than a 4200 if you want to keep dealer history but fuel consumption no more if its a V8 but V12 a different league and I have tried both.
