fiat sells alfa to vw!!

i just heard from a friend that he heard fiat has sold alfa to vw......

im at work so have not looked into this but will google now and see what i find....sad day.......

How is this bad?? The build quality will be improved and if they can make an Alfa as quick as the Golf R (0-60 in 5.7) then i think it will be exciting, good move by Fiat IMO.

Altho the rumours appear from the net to have been circulating for sometime , nothing to say that anything is or has been confirmed other than Fiat are continuing to stave off plans from VW

if this is true you may find this will be more of the Audi range than VW - Passat (rep car) or S4

Scirocco is a great looking car, not much more money than a Golf. Be interesting to see if VW make more attractive cars in the future with the influence from Alfa.

Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder as I think it looks like a pig in lipstick. The leather seats are nice, that's about it IMHO

Can't see it happening Dem. these rumours have been around for years.

If it happens it would be good for the brand from a sales and reliability perspective, but the soul, passion and history will be out of the window, and for me, that is a big no no.

As for the 4C with the GTI lump in it, no thanks!

Frank, I did like them both but *** play it too safe with the styling these days, where as Alfa always takes some risks. They will smother this if they were to take over IMHO.
