FIXED: See post number 10 at the foot of this page.

Its been driving me nuts for ages. Its a later car, 07, so I dont think its the early problems with the hinge anchor points.

It appears more to be the tailgate interior trim or the high mounted brake light, either way I think I am going to have to resort to laying in the boot while someone drives it.

Anyone else had any similar?

Yes Chris it's not that, that was the early 04/05 production fault, looks like I am going for a ride in the boot then!

It might be the adjusting bolts that need adjusting. Open the tailgate and look up in each corner, you will see a adjusting bolt on each corner. Easy to solve and better than what i might have to deal with, i have a 04/05 plate :frusty5:

Give the boot lock a bit of a wiggle, on my 147 I had a really bad rattle and it turned out to be the mechanism bolted to the hatch wasn't quite as bolted as it should have been.

FIXED!!!

It was the plungers, a quick squirt with the spray grease and all is now quite, bliss!!!

Is that your GT?

Yes it is, its a 2007/57 plate Lusso with black leather and the Bose HiFi, fantastic car.

I bought it as a cat C, it had been stuffed in the front, bonnet, bumper, both wings, front cross member, rads, fans and headlights.

Easy fix, then I had the entire thing repainted, you would never know.

Are those boot badges off a 159?

Not sure, they were missing so I thought they were right for the car but they may well be wrong.

I have GT on the left and JTDm on the right of the tailgate, the 'm' is in red too....and yes, it is a JTDm before you ask.
