Flat Battery.

I used the car yesterday and it was right as rain.Went to use it today and I couldn't even unlock the doors with the fob.Tried to start it and there was absolutely nothing there apart from a yellow warning light.I decided not to bother getting the jump leads out and rang Maserati Assisiance.Within two hours it was on a recovery truck on its way to the dealers, two hours later a nice new MB E350 was delivered. The dealer rang to say they are charging the battery overnight and will run a few tests tomorrow morning.Pretty impressed with the service so far, and all for a flat battery.I'd be surprised if the battery is knackered at just over 2 years old but who knows. The yellow warning light was Parking brake failure, is this just a result of the battery going flat?

I had the same experience last week - but without the assistance.

Loads of warning lights came on, it was like a Christmas tree, but they all extinguished after a new battery was installed.

My battery too wasn't old and I always kept it on a Ctek charger. I only left it off the charger for three days and it died.

These cars seem to be ******* batteries.

Good news that Maserati Assist is so helpful.

The assistance is top notch. I had to use it once when my GTS was diagnosed with a weeping aircon pump (£4k part!!!!). I was on a track day in Llandow and arranged to drop it into Dick Lovetts in Swindon on the way home. A nice new Mercedes was waiting for me and they delivered the car back to me on a trailer (unmarked) a week later.

A mate of mine had a similar experience when his diff went whilst out on a night out. The car started and engaged gears but did not pull away as something had sheered in the diff. He called Maserati assistance and they were out within the hour to pick it up, and supplied him with a taxi and driver for the evening!

This is a pan European policy so real peace of mind!

3200 had battery issues, GS, GTS nor the Spyder has.

Just had to fit a new battery on the 3200AC, now we have an engine management light on with the new battery and the revs fluctuate slightly on tick-over. I will have to have it checked out, it might be a pedal-pot issue, not sure.

The FIAMM (flat in a minute, mate) batteries aren't the best. I've tried all sorts, including gel options. The one that is fitted to my current GS is a winner. I can leave the car for a month through winter and it starts first time. I've had the tracker removed though, which helps.

All the warranty work has been approved. The part for the odometer is being sent from Italy, the dealer reckons it will only take a couple of days, anyone know any better? Luckily the wife has just taken delivery of a new MINI Paceman, so this is keeping me entertained, the MB is very nice but very boring.

Unfortunately I was right, the part only arrived this afternoon so I won't get the car back until next week, bit dissapointed to say the least not to have the car over the Easter , I was planning a trip to Yorkshire on Sunday, thanks Maserati.

Had a little moan to the dealer to let hem know that I was dissapointed at not having my 'weekend' car for the bank holiday weekend. They kindly agreed to lend me this until Tuesday.:biggrin:I'm quite liking the Sport pack.

my battery has been close to flat and the parking brake failed, the soft open doors wont work either. Taking it for a log run tomorrow and back on the trickle charger.

Wish my GTS had the Sports pack fitted, what a hoot. The car they loaned me is for sale, if it wasn't silver with a blue interior I might have been tempted to upgrade. It's only done 2000 miles on a 62 plate and its up for £66k, bargain in my book, obviously the colour ( although I liked it more than I thought) is putting people off buying it.Bloody good buy for someone though. The dealer has a blue, white and a black Sport in stock, the new interior's are gorgeous.

That's proper service - very few Maserati dealers will lend Maserati cars out. Depsite buying a brand new Maserati, I've never been offered a Maserati loan car by my supplying dealer - only dealer in Scotland mind!

There is not a lot to the sports pack on the GTS really - power and suspension are the same.

I'm not sure about the Sport as I don't like the nose, the new front seats are quite 'thin' and the new rear seats are really uncomfortable - not that is much of an issue! Personally I'm passing on the Sport and waiting to see the Ghibli, GranSport and new GranTurismo as all three will be with us in the next three years (New Quattroporte is an irrelevance for the UK IMHO). Fun times for Maserati.

Silver is actually ok in the GranTurismo but blue leather makes people run a mile.

The extra noise was the main advantage of the sport pack.I like the new seats in the sport, still hate the front parking sensors though.
