Gatwick Drones

I know this has been mentioned on the Good Morning Thread but I thought I would give it it's own one as I've just seen that the military have now been asked to get involved and on the BBC they were discussing the possibility of it being something more than someone sodding around with a drone.

In America I’m sure they would, apparently British police were concerned about stray bullets.

Strikes me they need to fight fire with fire, these drones have been returning for battery swaps so surely putting up a police drone to stick with it and when it is returned for a battery it can track it. Or they will need to abandon it. What about triangulating or jamming radio?

The only thing I can think is if they shoot them down they will never find the perpetrator, if they track them back to a location they should be able to catch the culprit

All I'm going to say on this, is that it's a police situation. End of.

Speculate all you want but I can assure you EVERYTHING is being done to resume flights.

You think the drone at Gatwick is bad, pop round my house and witness 3 women with synced periods....now thats droning!

Got that joy to come in the next few years why do you think I am moving to Ireland and leaving them behind

Assuming it is a numptie bu99ering about and nothing more sinister then why does this happen?
What is it that drives one person to totally feck up thousands of peoples lives. I simply do not get it

The problem I see is this has now been on the global news and I see many more incidents happening in other countries...inc the ones we fly into!

It’s the nanny state rearing it’s ugly head. I’d have no hesitation in flying into and out of Gatwick with a drone in the neighbourhood.
