the Foxtons of the car world......overpricing does not mean they will sell it, its worth under 4k right? lets see how long this takes to sell at that price

A bit of speculation, although at 16k miles you won't find another readily and to restore one costs also, but even so!!!

I remember Chris Cousins selling a restored 164 3.0 V6 lusso with cloth seats etc. for nearly similar money recently and that was not mint inside - I think he still has it;)

Looks a bit optimistic but where would you find another? As always its worth what a buyer would be willing to pay. I know what I paid for my Giulietta with only 42K and some nice mods

Perhaps not an unreasonable price, you'd never find another one like that and to restore one to as new condition would cost way more than the asking price, the bodywork restoration alone on mine cost well over £8000 & it wasn't even rusty. Yes its not a cloverleaf but it does look like one of the run out 1.7ie Turismo models which are quite nice. There are only around 40 33s left in a roadworthy condition so a rare car nowadays and got to be better value that a Ford Escort or a mini. I might be a little biased but its high time that 33s moved out of banger territory, they're great little cars and very undervalued at present. The requirement for welding after only 16000 miles is slightly concerning though.

Anyone want to buy a ground up restored 33 16v with only 90 miles on the clock for £15k? :)

....and why didn't you!!

Regarding this one, floor pan welding and a split drivers seat, strange for only 16k miles...

Just a question on the 33...IS it really a classic.....Without upsetting anyone I seem to remember it was a bit unloved back in the day compared to other Alfas.......Not they greatest moment surely.....Just asking.

Andy is basically an Alfa Sud underneath, a brilliant but seriously flawed car with very poor build quality made from **** Russian steel but it handles and drives like any true Alfa should.

Is it a classic, well yes, but aggro money pit too hence why prices are low.

Right, I see Matt......I suppose the Sud was such a pretty car and I can see why that is a classic.....where as the 33 will never win any beauty contests although I know looks along do not make a classic........Interesting price for the 33.........Think I would prefer a 164 or 166 as loved both of these and liked the looks more.

33 were no Alfasud, they were watered down by the bean counters just like the later Alfasud Sprints. Drums on the rear outboard discs on the front, and with a shell that was less strong and even more prone to rust. They did still have the awesome flat four of which the 1.7 is a hoot although the extra power did introduce the phrase torque steer.

However they did still have the Alfa character and that ability to bring a smile to your face
