Sick of me ????

I'm not done yet

:chat:

hahahaha

So this is my other Sprint ;)
Most fun I ever had in a car IN MY LIFE ! :jpheart:

EXTREMELY reliable, fantastic torque light weight, nimble, brilliant handling, short gear rations, FUN FUN FUN !!!

This is gonna be a long one, so wont be finishing this post in a day .... :omg:

For now, know this :

Bought for 900 pounds, 1.5 S3 1986 Alfa Romeo Sprint, with some rust issues and a cracked engine block , but I drove it like that every day for almost 6 years !

Chris i hope you put those plastic protectors around the car back on again. They suit the car a lot. And put the same rims on it again :numberone:

The engine Build

I wanted to make this car fly, so instead of the 105 bhp 1.5 engine, I went for the 1.7 16v engine with a carb conversion to get about 150 bhp (optimistic but quite doable) and even more torque and spice ! ;)

So the engine came out of an S3 Non CAT Alfa 33....

The Gearbox

Benefits of using good oil in your gearbox....

Didnt need a thing, apart from new seals, and it was good as new ;)

Kept the Short ratio Diff as not to spoil the fun.
Did 110 miles per hour with that diff ratio at about 5000 rpm, so more than happy with that top speed (which will be exceeded anyway due to the more powerful engine = more revs )

The paint job + Zenderizing :p

When all rust was cured and replaced with fresh metal, it was time for a professional paint job :

The slow process of cleaning, painting and reassembly

Lots of new parts bought, including the LAST of the right hand drive Sprints dashboard, brand spanking new from the dealership, bought and stored 7 years ago.

No surprise it wasnt a perfect fit though... its an Alfa :numberone:

With a bit of push, started working on my Sprint again last night.

Didnt do much as I had to clean up the bench and sort out the parts, but went about fitting the Marelli coil on it...

This is where I'm at right now:

Thanks :)

Well, I was finally able to fit the coil back on:

Next job will have to be, either get the dashboard out again and modify it where it sits on the heater box, OR start fitting the carbs.

I think I'll go for the dashboard first, as it will allow me to thrown in more stuff and get some things out of my way ...

...really not looking forward to this job... :/
