Thanks - I love the fact it spawned a load of lookalikes (3500GT, DB Aston series, Austins and Peugeots et al.) and yet somehow looks more modern than all of them. Pininfarina founder, Battista Farina said of the Florida II show car on which it was based that it was the only one to go to heaven in.

Interesting that they're chrome. On the S1 Fulvia, the bumpers are stainless steel.

Yeah. They are pretty heavy lumps - probably weigh as much as an S1 Fulvia. My old 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV had stainless steel bumpers - much better idea - and yet my 1971 Ghibli SS has heavy steel/chrome jobbies. It’s odd that the Italians used both. I wonder if it was a supply issue? The Ghibli cost three times the Alfa when new, so you’d think it would have stainless ones.
