This looks very nice:

It'd be interested myself but already have a 156 GTA.

I've checked the MOT history and it all looks good. Check out the video on the link above paying particular attention to the engine bay which is very nicely dressed. Clearly enthusiast owned.

That GTA looks lovely. Great little cars and for 8 to 10k not silly money.
Not a bad price if it's as good as it looks but I remember when Top Gear tested the current range of 200+ BHP hot hatches

VW have fitted 4WD to their Golf R32 to handle the power, Ford have fitted a clever torsion diff to their Focus RS for the same reason and Alfa? With 250 BHP going to the front wheels what have their clever engineers come up with? - Absolutely nothing :)

At least this has an later Q2 fitted which they certainly need.

There are a couple up at anglia car auctions too this weekend.

Here they are:

The second one looks decent-ish.

It will be interesting to see what they make, especially as the 147 GTA featured in the 2025 Hagerty Bull Market: https://www.hagerty.co.uk/articles/...10-cars-worth-considering-in-the-coming-year/

I’d guess 90% of the uk ones have the Q2 by now, either the official Alfa one or the quaife version.
I can confirm there are no traction issues at all with one fitted, with decent tyres of course.

Would have been interesting to see how the original reviews would have viewed them if they were fitted from new……
They protect the gearbox (NLA of course!) from self destruction too, so it’s a no brainier.

The first one went for £6k but the other one didn't sell. As for the black on WB & Sons, it's still online. Too many for sale at once?

Meanwhile, this high-mileage 156 GTA SW on PH is unlikely to make reserve https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/auction/17869974

That's got to be a steal for someone surely? Looked lovely on the video walk around .
That was plus fees though, so about 8600-8700 I think. Still a good price, but you never know what lurks on auction cars I guess.

The red ones at Aca went for about 6400 for the 140k mile one and 9800 for the 70odd k mile one with fees.

Agree, there is one for sale on AT and they want 9k for it and that one needs paint work doing to it. The black one looked perfect.

Despite all the “noise” around the 147/156 GTA’s I had to sell mine for peanuts 5/6 years ago - it didn’t get a bid in Anglia and was a gem…. Not an easy sell .

The problem for the 147 GTA is that there are lot of Japanese automatic cars that have sat around for literal years at a car emporium up north that continue to deflate the market.
There are also far more of them, and more abused, than the 156 GTA.
The good news is that unlike the 156 GTA, the number of bespoke body panels are far fewer; the Bertone GT wings can be bent to fit, and Alfa found the bumper moulds. There are still NLA items, #becauseItalian.

The 156 GTA is the better resolved car though, if it has Q2 and some suspension tweaks (like nearly all of them have).

Interesting fact: Zagato designed the 147 GTA's bodykit. And that of the 166 facelift.
