Completely missed this thread…right in my stomping ground so would be great to meet if dates work

I can do September dates

Did a version of this on the weekend just gone with other fellow GT owners - some cracking roads!

Didn’t go quite as far East as the map shows and came back down the A591 having done the Whinlatter and Honister pass

I'll be driving through the Ribble Valley on Friday on my way from the M6 to Derwent. Any recommended routes or stops?

Trough of Bowland is a great drive out, normally I head out of Preston to Ribchester, onto Hurst Green, Waddington (great views over the fell), Slaidburn to Settle at the A65

Alternatively you can go via Longridge, Chipping, Whitewell and on towards Kirby Lonsdale

I did the Trough a coupe of weeks back. The road surfaces are shocking, potholes everywhere. I was lucky not to buckle my alloys. Roads are also just too narrow for our lardy GTs

Was this posted on here. I'm feeling disappointed that there was a run that has almost passed my house and I've missed it!!!

Whinlatter Pass is where I learnt to drive.

I'm looking forward to the roads when I visit in August. I'm now wishing I was taking the Bentley instead of the Stelvio!

Appreciate the reply. Some of the local Lotus Massiv' posted pics (of your meet) from their drive out on our WhatsApp group... I was green with envy at having missed a Maserati meet that was right on my doorstep (literally).

Happy to go on record to say, if anyone is heading to the northern Lakes from this forum, please let me know if you're open to meeting up, or are looking for guidance on good roads, restaurants or places to stay.

I don't bite (well, not much), and might just offer to sort out a meet and hospitality to genuine forum members... A BBQ and drinks would be great.

hoping to be free for any of these dates, subject to the house move. Will report back once we actually exchange contracts.

Storrs is another place that was sold, it used to be privately owned by two Antiquities dealers and was exquisitely furnished in superb taste.
I got married there.
Think it's owned by a wealthy family now. The stunning Victorian bar is from Blackpool Winter Gardens...we met the guy who installed it back in 2018 before Covid. Well worth a visit.....
