Lovely, Nayf. A lot of blue going on and those manuals really are for collector only at that price. Which is a shame. Odd how unloved they were when new. Everyone wanted the F1 and now everyone has a böner for a 'proper' gearbox.

There are a number of engineering companies who can do manual conversions at a very high standard. IIRC AV Engineering is offering such a service

Although I appreciate it is not the same to a collector but if I really wanted a manual 612 or 599 and could afford a F1 car plus the cost of conversion then I would consider it for sure...

Ps. Lovely car....

My 599HGTE is for sale, less than half the price........but it has paddles. Much better colour though, black with creme interior.

Having had two manual road cars in a row, they’re over rated. The journo, must have a manual thing is a complete load of tosh. Fine if it gets trailered to Portimao, you get a little trash round the track followed by a slap up lunch. But if you want to get from Bolton to the south of France or a trip to Lidl take something with two pedals.

A friend of mine has just had his UK RHD 599HGTE converted to manual and used a very well known Ferrari specialist. The whole job took many months, was far more complicated than originally envisaged, involved the car having to go to the Ferrari factory for final configuring, and was a big 6 figure bill. The size and cost of this job is not to be underestimated!

He's happy enough though, as he's ended up with what he wanted - an ultra high spec (and unique) UK RHD 599HGTE in black with lots of carbon goodies and a manual gearbox.

I have been given a manual 218d as a courtesy car while my Alpina gets some issues sorted under warranty... It's bloody horrid... I can list why but you probably don't care enough lol

That said I would happily drive my manual 4200 to Amalfi and back again

I read somewhere (FerrariChat I think) that the HGTE pack (usually late cars) wasn't compatible with the manuals (usually early cars) in its totality due to an ECU issue, which would probably explain the above!

That's correct NAYF. The work done back at the Ferrari factory largely concerned the ECU.

You’ll get a nice 599GTB for £90k, but not HGTE. Last of the Enzo engines, so bound to go up over the next 10 years.

Just a few pictures of my car, not only did the original owner choose wisely on colour and trim he then spent another £34K on extras! Who puts extras on a HGTE? He did, on things like extra alcantara and leather anywhere he could!
I plan to relist it on the market when spring comes, now is not a good time to sell a car like this.

Forgot to mention something which I thought was so strange.
He specced the car with alcantara floor mats! When I bought it, I thought "well they won't stay nice for long". What little did I know, it is an extreemly hard wearing material. I just give it a brush with a small three inch brass brush and it comes up beautifully. Even better if I brush a three inch stripe one way and then go the other way with the next three inch stripe and so on. It looks like the pitch of a Premiership football ground.
How OCD can anyone get! The extra alcantara (including the mats) cost him £3870.85. Phew, who new alcantara was so expensive!

Another thing he up specced that, to be fair, does look gorgeous is diamond cross stitching. It cost him an extra £2760!!

That does sound like a peach, Phil. Good luck with the sale.

You all need to watch Devils on sky. Its good.. and the lead character drives a 599 and it gets decent screen time
